Lunar Blaze is the strongest at this tier is by far, which allows you to increase the damage of your Lunar Flares with every hit (without a cap I might add). Talent choices - recommended, - situational, - not recommended Shadowstalk can be a viable alternative though, if your team focuses more on ganks than straight up 5v5 team fights, or if you're in need in an escape tool. Out of the two heroics, Starfall obviously has a much bigger impact in team fights, even more so if the enemy has multiple melee heroes, or your team has some form of CC that can force the enemy team to stay in its area of effect longer. It has a relatively short cooldown of 20 seconds, so it can be used quite frequently. It's the only escape tool in Tyrande's kit, and it can also be used as an agressive ability to set up ganks or finish off enemies with basic attacks. Instead of that, now it gives Tyrande (and only her) stealth and movement speed, and after the stealth is broken, Tyrande retains the movement speed bonus, and gets an attack speed bonus for 5 seconds. It used to be a team wide global stealth and healing ability. Her second heroic option is Shadowstalk, which changed the most in her rework. It's best used with some CC to ensure it deals the most damage to enemies before they leave its area of effect. It's good for zoning out enemies from an area, or simply do damage to enemies in a team fight. It's an AoE ability, that does damage and slows enemies for 6 seconds. It's best to use as a followup, rather than an initiator, for a guaranteed hit. It also has a visual indication on the ground where it will hit, that is visible to the enemy as well, so it can be dodged. It can be rather difficult to hit, because it has a 0.75 second delay before impact, so you need to predict the enemy's movement. It has a 12 second cooldown, and it does damage, and stuns enemies in its range. Her E ability is Lunar Flare, which is a ranged AoE skillshot. It's also good for interrupting channels such as picking up curses on Cursed Hollow, Nukes on Warhead Junction and so on. It has a relatively high mana cost (70), so it loses a bit utility in the early game, because you have to focus on stacking it up to reduce it's mana cost, rather than using it as a scouting tool. It can be stacked up to 80 times which means it will pierce through 8 heroes max and it no longer has a mana cost. It also has a quest built into the basic ability, which allows the owl to pierce through one enemy hero, and reduce mana cost by 10, per 8 heroes hit. It has a relatively long cooldown of 18 seconds. If that happens, it deals damage and reveals that hero for 5 seconds. It launches a magic owl in a direction which travels in a straight line, providing vision to the area until it collides with an enemy hero. Her W ability is Sentinel, which is an AoE skillshot. It gives some sustain to the team, or Tyrande herself, but the amount of healing she can do with it is quite low, even if she manages to land basic attacks constantly. It has a 12 second cooldown, which can be decresed by 2 seconds with each basic attack. It can be self cast, or cast onto an ally, but it no longer gives a self heal if it's used on an ally. Her Q ability is Light of Elune, which is a point and click heal. It's obviously good for focusing on a single target, be it an isolated hero pick, or a high priority target, like a map objective or a boss. It's active for 4 seconds, it has a cooldown of 20 seconds and it's range is the same as Tyrande's basic attack range. Her trait is Hunter's Mark, which is a ranged, point and click debuff, that lowers the targets armor by 25, which means it takes 25% extra damage for the duration of the mark. Poor healing output, even with constantly AAing Situational ganking/escape tool with Shadowstalk Single target damage increase with Hunter's Mark Scouting and poke/channel interrupt with Sentinel Ranged AoE stun for lockdown and damage with Lunar Flare Even though I might not be the best person to give guides to anyone, given my trash ranked rating, I think the sheer amount of games I've played with her helps me to give a couple of tips at least on how to play her. She got a rework recently, that changed her playstyle drastically, and I've been playing her a lot recently to figure out how she can work now. Not sure what clicked me while playing her, but shes my most played ever since. Ever since I've started playing HotS (2017 january, so not very long) Tyrande has been one of my favorite heroes.
